I'm not sure what constitutes a perfect day, but today was definitely nearly perfect.
- Running late for work and you get in on time because the travel is effortless.
- The boss is out for a well-deserved day off.
- The office is quiet because it is Friday before a 3-day holiday weekend.
- Able to get a lot of productive work done without any pressure.
- The lunch you brought to work is very tasty.
- The part ordered for your car comes in on time.
- The errands run after work all go smoothly.
- When you take your dog for a walk you both really enjoy the sunshine, beautiful green scenery, and fresh air.
- You decide that all the household chores can wait until tomorrow.
A nearly perfect day is simple - delightfully so.
P.S. I think a perfect day would include the final touch on a long, complex project - like the last stitches of a beautiful knitted lace shawl, finishing a book that has kept you enthralled, or writing the final words of your own manuscript. Fini.
